Deploy a MongoDB Replica Set on NodeChef Cloud Platform

The NodeChef platform can deploy a 3 node cluster with keyFile Access and authentication enabled with a single click of a button. Your Replica set after deployment will consist of a primary, a secondary and an arbiter. The platform ensures all nodes in the replica set are physically isolated. This document guides you on how to create a Replica Set.

  Initiate Deployment

  After you have successfully created your deployment, navigate to Deployments > Deployed Apps on the NodeChef Dashboard. Find your app listed. Click on Cluster Actions > Configure replica set.

  Verify Deployment

  After the deployment is queued, navigate to the Task Manager. Once the deployment is complete you should see 3 database containers, labelled primary, secondary and arbiter. See image below:
